MEET THE CAST

 

 

 

HEATHER CLARK

Heather is the founder and director of Oneword Tours.  She teaches contemporary modern

and musical theatre.  She has created shows such as The Least of These, Please Dream, 

Love 146, Emotion, and Freedom.  She has a passion to see people dance from a place of 

authenticity and vulnerability.  She uses dance and other art forms to make a positive impact

on society.

 

 

 

 

MAKAYLA KICIA

I have been dancing for 16 years in many different styles which consist of ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, and lyrical. I have attended many competitions over the years at which I won many awards and scholarships both as a soloist and in groups. I have also been selected as a representative to the provincial dance competition 3 times. I am currently teaching at Akimbo Dance studio in Kamloops and I love every moment of it. Dance is my passion and I’m excited to be sharing it with many people and having this experience with One Word Tours.

 

 

 

 

KAILEY BROMLEY  

Kailey Bromley is 20 years old, and has been dancing for 17 of them. She has danced in all styles,

but her specialties lie in jazz and hip hop. She has been teaching for five years at Akimbo Dance Studios

in Kamloops. She toured with ONEWORD last year as well in their Please Dream production.

 

 

 

 

 

ANNA GRANDIA

Anna Grandia was born in Kamloops BC and has been dancing from a very young age. She has studied

various styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, and latin. She has

completed her Bachelor of Arts with a major in dance, and recieved ballet training at the Alberta Ballet. 

Currently, she teaches at Sista's Love to Dance Studio in her hometown. Anna has toured with ONEWORD

before, in the Love 146 production.

 

 

 

 

KIANA ONYANGO

Kiana Onyango is 11 years old and going into grade 6. She has been dancing for 7 years. She takes

many different dance classes including musical theater, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical and tap. Her

favourite dance styles are tap and contemporary. She plays a major acting role in this tour, alongside

her singing and dancing.

 

 

 

 

 

MYA ONYANGO

Mya Onyango is 13 years old and entering grade 8. She has been dancing for 7 years in a variety of

styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop. Her favourite genres are contemporary

and jazz. Mya has participated in another ONEWORD production, the Please Dream tour.

 

 

 

 

EMILY YOUD

Emily Youd is 16 years old and has been dancing ever since she was 2. She is currently a student at Akimbo

Dance Studios in Kamloops, BC, where she dances in various styles. These include jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip

hop and contemporary. In addition to dancing in this show, Emily also plays a major acting role.

 

 

 

 

ALYSSA HAJDASZ

Alyssa Hajdasz is 17 years old and going into her final year of high school. She has been dancing for only

three years, but has loved every minute of it. Also a student at Akimbo, she dances in multiple styles

including jazz, ballet, lyrical and contemporary. This is her first tour.

 

 

 

                           

KIRA BORGSTROM

Kira found her love for dance at the age of four when she tried a preschool dance class and she has been dancing ever since. Currently, Kira is exploring Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop genres in her dance studies;. She recently performed her first competitive festival Hip Hop solo. Kira is excited to be a plart of such a creative dance company.
